Knowing Your Season

Updated: Nov 1, 2019

Years ago, I felt I was truly ready to get married, have a family, start my family vacations and all the things that come with the American dream. I forced myself to accelerate in school, pushed myself to get promotions, bought my first house

Your Favorite Scripture:

Ecclesiastes 3:1 (NKJV)“To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven.”

Food for Thought:

Years ago, I felt I was truly ready to get married, have a family, start my family vacations and all the things that come with the American dream. I forced myself to accelerate in school, pushed myself to get promotions, bought my first house...I could go on and on and on. I reached a point in my life when I felt like I was at a standstill; that everyone around me was excelling and getting everything their hearts desired except for me. The bible says that there is a season for everything. I begin to step back and look at the bigger picture. I have started to enjoy the journey, trusting that God has my best interest at heart. His plan is infallible. BeforeHis word, the world will perish. I believe that in God’s time the true desires of my heart will be given to me as long as I continue to seek after him.

Prayer:

Father, forgive us for rushing You. Forgive us for thinking that our plan is better than yours. Lord, please continue to have grace and mercy upon us as we go through this journey with you. Help us to enjoy the good and the bad times while resting in your peace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
